Shibori Stripe - Glaze Wallpaper

The shibori process begins with undyed material that is pleated, folded, stitched, and modified. Once stitched or folded and bound, the fabric is dropped into a dye bath, traditionally indigo, and then removed and unwrapped to reveal a pattern. Subtle shifts, irregularity, imperfection...all define the nature of the shibori process and the sensitivity of indigo dye. The individual dyer works within such constraints to execute a pattern that reflects harmony, balance, and movement.

Care & CleaningSpongeable

This wallcovering is spongeable. Ordinary dirt and smudges can be removed with a mild soap and warm water solution. Clean from the bottom of the wall, moving upward. Gently rinse with clean water from the top down using a clean sponge. Dry the wallcovering with a soft, lint-free cloth or towel. When cleaning, always take measures to prevent water from dripping behind molding. For routine upkeep, dust regularly with a soft dry cloth or a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment on low suction. Wipe fingerprints and light smudges promptly with a barely damp sponge.

Important

Do not use steel wool or powdered abrasive cleaners, as they can damage the image and surface of the wallpaper. Do not use solvents, alcohol, pine oil, or cleaners that contain these products, as they can damage the surface of the wallcovering. Never mix cleaning agents together, volatile reactions can occur. Do not scrub or use excessive pressure when cleaning paper wallcoverings.

Always test any cleaning solution in an inconspicuous area of the wallcovering first to ensure the surface is not damaged.

How do I order a wallpaper sample?

Samples are available for every wallpaper product in our collection. Add a sample to your cart directly from the product page — samples are $5 each and ship within 1–2 business days. We always recommend reviewing a physical sample before placing a full order to confirm the color, texture, and scale work in your space.

What is your shipping and return policy for wallpaper?

Wallpaper orders ship from our facility in Kansas via UPS or FedEx with tracking. Because most wallpapers are printed to order, rolls cannot be returned or exchanged once produced. Samples are non-refundable. If you receive a defective product, contact us within 48 hours at sales@poppyprintstudio.com with photos and we will replace it at no charge.

Can I customize the colors or scale of a wallpaper design?

Yes. Most of our wallpaper patterns are available for customization including color changes, scale adjustments, and other modifications. Custom orders may have different minimums and lead times than stock products. Contact us at sales@poppyprintstudio.com to discuss your project requirements and we will provide a quote.

Shipping & Returns

Shipping

Wallpaper rolls and samples ship from our shop and studio in Lawrence, Kansas. Rolls are printed to order and ship within 10 business days. Samples ship within 1–2 business days. Standard ground and expedited shipping options are available at checkout. All orders ship via UPS or FedEx with tracking provided. Signature is required on all packages over $1,000. We do not ship to USPS PO boxes.

Returns

Because our wallpaper is printed to order, opened rolls and cut yardage cannot be returned. Unopened, undamaged rolls in original packaging may be returned within 14 days of delivery for a refund, less a 25% restocking fee.

Samples are non-refundable.

To initiate a return, contact sales@poppyprintstudio.com with your order number. We will provide a return label, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund, after the return package is received and inspected.

If you have leftover rolls from your order, we strongly recommend storing them in attic stock for future repairs to ensure an exact color and dye lot match.

Claims

If your wallpaper arrives damaged or with a manufacturing defect, contact sales@poppyprintstudio.com within 7 days of delivery with photos of the issue. We will replace defective goods or issue a full refund at our discretion. Do not install wallpaper that appears defective. Installation of visibly flawed material voids the claim. Always inspect rolls before installation, follow installation directions exactly, and order a sample first to verify color and pattern.
